Just a gratuitous post to brag about what just arrived today. Behold...







A G5 with a SuperDrive, a 20" cinema display and Harman Kardon Soundsticks. Isn't it beautiful. Unfortunately, it has to stay at work but I can't wait to start editing movies on it.

9. nope, for me it's perfect

and ROCK SOLID too. For all the shit talked about the G4 I've never used a machine with a more robust processor. Still, had I the money I'd be an early adopter. In fact, I bought this machine from a friend who ordered his Dual 2Gig G5 the day they were introduced at the WWDC last year.

I've had over 20 aps running at once, including a second operating system (OS9) photoshop 5, Flash 4, iMove, itunes, Safari, MS Word, Freedom Force, iChat, Mail, Mozilla, and Preview and haven't even noticed a slowdown in performance.
