Usually I would have one in my pants, one on my desk, one in my car, and one at work. And I still lose them all.

1. I found an incredible deal
Edited on Fri Jan-01-10 09:46 PM by AwakeAtLast
If you like Burt's Bees lip balm, I found some that regularly sold for $2.99, but had a $2.00 off sticker. $.99 each! I bought one for me and put one in my Mom's stocking.

ETA: Yes, I have lip balm everywhere - bedside table, couchside table, purse, desk at work, pockets of my warm coats. :D

2. yes. I have 4 tubes of chapstick
all from the hospital because when I couldn't eat or drink, my lips got really bad and I kept losing them. When I got home and unpacked my bag, I found them. I have one next to me on the desk, one in my purse, one next to my bed and one in the bathroom.

4. I buy them all the time not so much because I lose them but
because I am addicted. I cannot get through a checkout without picking up a tube. My ex always said I was like the character in the Mel Gibson movie "Conspiracy Theory" - he was programmed to purchase "Catcher in the Rye" - I have been programmed to buy lip balm. I guess it is how "they" are keeping track of me. LOL!

I have a brazillion tubes!

5. My husband used to carry that stuff in all his jacket and pants
pockets. Can you guess how many went through the washer and dryer? It never helped for me to suggest he check all his pockets before putting clothes in the hamper, he would just give it no thought. Once the wallet was out, all pockets clear. In got to be a habit with me to check every pocket as I sorted to do laundry. Nothing like melted chap-stick all over your stuff.

8. same problem here.
except it's with my teenage son.

I'd buy a 3 pack. One for me, one for him and an extra.

He'd leave either lose his or leave it in his pocket and it gets destroyed in the wash.
Take the spare one, do the same.
and then ask to borrow mine.

7. My daughter used to have one for each room in the house and her purse
They weren't getting lost, per se, she would just leave it within reach of our Jack Russell who would snatch them and suck the lip balm out of the containers..so we would keep finding empty, partially chewed containers minus the lids.

10. The Damn Mutts are the same way.
If I don't put the chapstick away IMMEDIATELY, or if it falls out of my pocket and I don't notice it, I lose it to the dogs. Only, they tend to eat the entire tube. I just keep 2 or 3 new tubes in the cupboard at all times, because I never know when I'll err and they'll get one.

17. Well, if you're asking do I find
small bits of the plastic chapstick containers in their feces, the answer is yes. Does it hurt? Well, they haven't said anything to me about it. But, I've become downright anal about putting the chapstick OUT of the reach of The Damn Mutts, because I worry about sharp bits of plastic passing through their digestive track and causing damage.

practically eats them in one day. Weird, and annoying.

12. I've saved the old ones.
With that wee bit on the bottom that can no longer reach the lips. I'm thinking of scraping those bits out and putting them in one tube. That free tube of chap stick will probably keep some executive from buying another yacht.
