Firefighters revive cat trapped in house fire
SPOKANE -- A dog and a cat are safe after the house they were in caught fire. Firefighters to the home on the 400 block of E. 35th on Spokane's South Hill Thursday night.

A neighbor saw the flames, called 911 and had another neighbor help put out the fire with a garden hose. The dog made it out safely but firefighters needed to revive the cat with an oxygen mask.

Investigators say the fire started in the living room near an artificial Christmas tree. The owners were not home when the fire started. There is heavy smoke damage to the second floor.
