My method for feeling a bit better about life here in the US
I read dystopic novels.

Current book is Snowcrash by Neal Stephenson.

Next on the queue is The Makers by Cory Doctorow.

There are always our dear standbys 1984, Brave New World, The Road, A Handmaid's Tale, Man in High Castle, Alas Babylon, Neuromancer...

Society and the Economy is infinitely worse in our imaginations.
