Poll question: Will the 49ers look bad again on Monday Night Football?
Its been a dismal year, and the 49ers go on Nation wide TV against the Arizona Cardinals..

1. I voted close game
and hopefully the Cardinals can pull it out. For the past 3 years 49ers/Cardinals have all been close games.

Take last year's Monday Night Game for example:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQiCQL245tE

Based on NFL Advanced Statistics that game was the MOST exciting game the Cardinals played all year where their Super Bowl was the 2nd most exciting.

2. And I thought this would be a good year for them
All the injuries, all the could have won games..meh, looks like its going to have to wait for next year and their draft.

3. The 49ers have Carolina's first round pick next year
If the Panthers continue to lose SF could end up with a high pick.

5. Crabtree has 32 catches for 406 yards in 7 games
Edited on Sun Dec-13-09 08:37 PM by JonLP24
Not bad for a rookie WR. He is actually #2 on the team in receiving yards which shows you San Francisco could use more depth at WR. Vernon Davis is the team leader in receptions, yards, and touchdowns and he is a TE(should be a Pro Bowler imo).

I'm no scout but I don't feel this upcoming draft class has a QB worth taking early in the first round so I think they should stick with Alex Smith who really hasn't been bad but needs to improve to over 6.8 YPA(he is sitting at 6.5 YPA).

I think they should build on their secondary, offensive line, or another WR(they can take awhile to develop).

6. If the douche hadn't held out, we could still be in the hunt
one lousy TD in any of four close losses, and we're in the conversation.

As it is, even the Sharks are now stinking up the joint. St. Louis (6.6 seconds to go :grr:),Hamilton Phoenix AND L.A.?! :scared:

7. The Cardinals will stomp the Niners on Monday,
then the Eagles will do it again next Sunday in Philly.

The Niners "Last Hurrah" is long gone.

8. I doubt it
The 49ers have only been stomped in one game and that was against Atlanta. They just lost by 3 to Minnesota, 4 to Indianapolis, 3 to Houston and Seattle, 6 to Green Bay, and 7 to Tennessee. Plus they already beat Arizona though that was week 1 and Warner is playing a lot better now and so are their running backs. It would be nice but SF always plays them tough.

11. I hope not.
I need about 12 points from Gore and the tight end to keep me in the running in one of my money leagues.

I can not help but think he might have one or two years left if this team never makes the playoffs.

14. Worry not AsahinaKimi.
Although it's a stretch for them to make the playoffs this year, they will absolutely make it next year. When Smith and Crabtree both get on the same page, you are going to see some astonishing numbers. Davis has come into his own, not only in production, but as a team leader. Add a couple of killer o-lineman in the off season and it will all be there. I have a feeling Sing is going to be around for a long time. :)

Go Niners!

15. There's nothing I'd like better than a 49ers win...
but every QB -- or almost every QB -- has been able to rack up huge passing yards against the 49ers. And tonight they'll be facing Kurt Warner, who is way beyond just your average QB. I think he'll be locked and loaded. And I think the rest of the Cards will do everything in their power to humiliate the 49ers on primetime television. Just to prove they can.

But I hope I'm wrong.

22. It doesn't surprise me
49ers always plays the Cardinals tough and the Cardinals young running backs have fumbilitis, a condition they had all season.

It was an ugly game if you're Cardinals fan. I'm confident they will bounce back but they usually have an ugly game like this. That's one thing that never changes.

Edited on Tue Dec-15-09 12:04 AM by AsahinaKimi
Forty Niners are 6 and 7 in the NFC West. Up next, Eagles, Lions, and Rams, but I think the season
is virtually over.
