3. I managed a sub shop when she performed at Penn State during the Tigerlily tour

Her show was slated to begin at 8:00, and around 7:40 we got an urgent delivery order for two 18-inch meatball subs to be delivered backstage before the performance. "It's for Natalie," said the caller.

Well, the phone number was legit, but I knew we couldn't get it there in the time alotted, so I decided to call their bluff instead.

"I'm sure that Natalie likes nothing better than inhaling a yard's worth of bread and meat before jumping onstage."

There was a pause, followed by "uh, hold on."

Another pause.

"Um, she said it's okay to get it here whenever."

So, not the funniest story ever, but it always gives me a chuckle when I listen to that album.
