Man Steals 100 Copies Of Popular Video Game From GameStop
MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Police are searching for a man who stole 100 copies of the wildly popular "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II" video game from a western Pennsylvania store.

Police said the man entered the GameStop store in Meadville about 7 p.m. Tuesday and told clerks he had a friend waiting outside who would shoot them if they called police. The man then reached over the counter and took the games and a few other items worth about $6,900 total.

The game produced by Activision Blizzard Inc. went on sale Tuesday. In the first 24 hours, the game sold about 4.7 million copies in North America and the United Kingdom.

The game retails for $59.99 and has versions for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and personal computers.

Merry Christmas to his friends!!
What an odd robbery. If I were going to be so brazen and dumb to rob some place, it would be for cash. Now he has to turn around and sell them. Too much work. Speaking of which, the bank next door to my office was robbed a couple of weeks ago....Through the drive through! Who knew you could put a note in the tube, send it through, and get cash. It is that easy. lol! I think it must have been an inside job.

3. It's not an inside job
It's actual policy. It's not like the movies these days where you see someone burst in there and demand everyone on the ground. These days it takes a simple threatening note and they hand over the cash then get police afterwords.

4. Yeah that is what my co-worker said.
You don't question it, you do it then call 911, that is the policy, but I have a feeling it was an indside job for some reason.

5. He would have probably gotten more from the games
He stole a 100 games worth about 60 bucks each. He can probably find some people to sell them to at $10 a piece and he just made $1000. I'm sure he wouldnt have gotten $1000 out of the register at the Gamestop.
