How are you today?

I am sorry I vanished the last two days. I was home sick with a nasty cold. I am still sick but good enough to go back to work. I might call in sick at the groceries store though tomorrow and Saturday. Don't really think it is a good thing to handle food when having a cold and sniffing and sneezing and coughing the whole time

Sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. I hope you start feeling better soon. Yes, I think it's a good idea to stay away from the grocery store job. In addition to not wanting to make people sick, you need some more time to rest and get better.

Nothing too new with me. Yesterday I went into work and was commenting to a colleague how fast the week was going that it was Thursday already. She looked at me quizzically and said "it's Wednesday". Grrrrr . . . so in a nanosecond I went from fast week to slow week. :rofl:

It's cccccccccoooooooolllllllddddddd here this morning. Only 32F. Maybe I should start to think about wearing my winter jacket.

I called the groceries store. They want a slip from the doctor for the sick leave. So I will go there after work.

It is cool here too. But compared to that period in October when it was already freezing it isn't too bad. November is my least favorite month. It is grey and dark and depressing weather.

Slip from the Doctor? Well, on one hand I can understand, but here I'd have to pay for a doctor's visit to get a slip so not only would I be loosing wages, I'd have another outlay of money. I'd just go into work and sneeze all over the food and cough up a storm until they sent me home. :rofl: No, not really, I wouldn't want to intentionally get anyone sick.

Gotta head out for work. Hope you feel better soon and that you get "permission" not to work at your second job.

I'm doing ok. I've had a headache for a couple weeks straight now so that is bothering me. Everything else is fine.

I don't have any insurance and the work I do doesn't provide for it unless I get hurt on the job then I'm covered. I remember another person while I was in the Army was complaining about a headache that wouldn't go away so they checked him out and he had a tumor so that is scary.

Have you ever tried Hatschi tea? It is a kräutertee. I bought it at the Tee Blatt and it really helped me feel better when I had a cold last year.

No, I haven't tried that. Didn't even know it existed. I mainly drink my jasmine tea, which is green tea. And I make me a hot lemon with some sugar. Need to get me new lemons though.

24. We got new ones after about 3 years

they out of warranty, but continue to work just fine. It's probably better to change out the laptops regularly than risk the computer breaking down at a bad time, which is most anytime. :P
