I know we lose hair daily, but this seemed like a LOT of hair

1. Same thing here.
My hairdresser said it's normal. We lose hundreds of strands a day.

3. I used to have really thick hair ...used to get head aches in the summertime
but the older I get, the thinner it seems to get

my daughter has my thick hair now. She turns 18 in December

I think she stole it from me

2. Well, if you know they're in the tub, then they're not really lost, right?
:silly:

4. I tend to lose a lot of hair in the shower, too. (Luckily I've got a lot of hair to begin with!)
It seems like when I'm more stressed out I "shed" quite a bit. My hair also gets damaged from coloring, and I find tons of hair after I rinse out the dye. But, I don't like the gray, so I continue to color.

I've been trying different products to try to one that prevents more breakage.

7. The longer my hair is the more hair I seem to shed (I know it is just optics).
It has always been that way with my hair (when I was a young adult and living at my parents' house they had a cleaning lady who took me aside and asked me if I was ill because she was finding so much hair in the tub drain. I was so embarrassed that she had to see that and started combing out my hair before I washed it).
