Help: Disposing of old inkjet printers?
I have a number of old inkjet printers lying around the place... none of them work particularly well, but they're not really broken either. I have no interest in going through the headache of Craigslisting them to get a few bucks, and deal with questions/complaints of whether or not they work.

So, so I just throw them in the dumpster out back, or what?

1. If they work, see if you can donate them somewhere.
I give all my "retired" stuff like that to The Spring, a battered women's clinic to sell or give to women starting over after leaving a bad situation.

2. Never throw electronics in the dumpster.
Most municipalities have laws against that, though I see it happen all the time anyway.

Instead, find a recycling center near you with this link: http://earth911.com

:)

8. Freecycle. Or Best Buy will take 1-2 pieces of electronic equipment per day for recycling.
Freecycle is great if you have it in your area. You don't get complaints because people get the stuff for free.

And I hate Best Buy but I have recycled a couple of things through that program. Your city might do it as well, I know Chicago does 3x a week.
