Pregnancy question: Did you notice a difference carrying boys vs. girls?
My wife is pregnant and a waitress told her to tonight that her mom was hyper when she had girls in utero but dead tired and slept all the time when she was carrying a boy.

Have you heard or experienced anything like this?

1. I've had one of each
my daughter was so quiet and damn near motionless, I was always a bit concerned that something was wrong. My son NEVER stopped moving, and didn't turn until 34 weeks (spent most of the time stomping on my bladder). I seemed to be more tired with my girl.

It may just be their personalities - daughter is able to sit still for long periods of time, while son is running around like a crazy man all the time.

2. Mother of four here and I didn't notice any difference in how I felt, but
every one of them moved different in utero. They varied between long, slow rolling movements to quick, stacatto, punching movements. There was as much variety between each of the boys as there was between them and my daughter. Every pregnancy was different just as every child was.

5. My dear yurbud!
Congrats on your coming child, whatever sex it is!

I had two girls, and they were as different as they could be...

My first hardly moved at all, was very quiet and placid...

And that's how she was after she was born.

My second was a crazy thing, rolling, punching, kicking! Same way after birth...

I think how the child behaves in utero is indicative of how they will be after birth but I really doubt that it has anything to do with their sex.

:hi:

6. I've had one of each.
The two pregnancies were remarkably similar. I doubt that you can really tell by any of the "symptoms" the mother is able to notice.

7. I had two boys, but any of those wives tales about activity level, how high or low you carry, which
way the wedding ring or needle move are useless. :(
