1. Milkin' it...old school.
Some writer from the Office is involved...May have potential. (But more likely will suck.)

2. Maybe, it appears the remakes
or milking the cow type of films are coming out of the woodwork like mad, pretty soon there will be a "Macgyver" movie...which, if it did come out, I'd see it.

3. I pitched "MacGyver" movie...
I was told it was too "not-mainstream-able" of a "geek-property" and it "didn't lend itself to cross-promotional dialog."

(Translation: "Only losers and the geeks we don't care about will go see it and we don't see any really good marketing tie-ins for fast food, ED pills or other crap." It really is sickening to have an insider's seat on film production...it's a lot like sausage-making and the mating habits of black widow spiders.)

6. Haha, I love it.
I was never in love with the idea, I just threw it out there...I do that a lot, throw things against the metaphorical wall to see what sticks. I am however going to make sure those assbags see this if they have not already so they can think about all the money we're not making because they didn't want to pursue the screen rights and thought it was a losing idea.

Things like this make me happy because they make me look smart...next idea I pitch will be paid more attention.

7. I have to admit I am a bit surprised that they stuck with the original cast
they are all getting a bit long in the tooth to be running around chasing ghosts.

8. Maybe that's the angle they are going for. Coming out of retirement and all that.
It's been done before and done poorly.

I hope this one will be better than GB2.

9. OTOH, it might be nice to see Bill Murray play something other than his "Rushmore" character
that he's been milking for the last decade. It's nice he got a career resurgence and all, but a little variety would be nice.
