2. someone I've known for a very long time
and we even dated a bit in '05 (but he kinda messed that up--which I felt hurt about for a while, but then decided to let go because it just took too much energy to stay hurt about it, so we went back to being friends).

We've been seeing each other again, since May. And it's really comfortable. We have even been able to talk about serious subjects regarding long-term commitment with great ease.

His name is Jay.

He's a little older than I, but neither one of us is a spring chicken so that's ok. He's tall. He has beautiful blue eyes and a silly sense of humor. He likes to play cribbage, and he likes to cook and to eat and apparently.... he loves me. Go figure. :shrug:
