Good morning Lounge
How are you today?

I went swimming yesterday and also did participate in the Water aerobics class. Boy, I tell ya, I feel my upper arms this morning. :) I will go back next Tuesday :D

This morning shortly after I arrived at work we had a fire alarm x( Nothing bad happened, just a smoke alarm went off in one of the kitchens. The fire department was here within 5 to 10 minutes. It kinda makes you feel a bit safer when you know they will be here so fast. Even though a fire would be able to destroy a lot in that time. Especially old things like we have in our museum.

3. Water is a great resister for strength training
I remember we had a few dates with my platoon to go to the gym on base to do swimming physical training. First I'm thinking pool, no long runs or push-ups, yay we get to swim and have fun! No we spent the entire time doing various exercises and it seriously wore me out and I couldn't wait for it to end.

Anyways good morning. :hi:

The workout was only half an hour. No problem to survive. But some exercises were tough - especially since we were in deep water and you had to move your legs the whole time to not drown ... I wasn't able to stay at the same place ... LOL
It was fun, I will do it again.

Glad that you're OK and that nothing in the museum was harmed either. :bounce:

I'm good, I slept quite a bit last night, and I plan on doing so again tonight. My niece is staying over this weekend, and I'll need to be rested so I can be something approaching a host.

11. I cheated last night
I laid down at about 7:30, came to 3 hours later, then went back to bed at midnight. I could really get used to this schedule. ;)

I work Saturday morning, then I crash for the afternoon.

Coffee! I knew I'd forgotten something. Thanks

That's a great picture and I'm glad your books didn't burn up.

I got rained on last night at work. I've been doing this job for nearly three years and you'd think I'd have a raincoat in the truck by now, but I don't. I never think of it until I'm out there getting rained on. I better go to the store this morning while I'm thinking about it, eh?

The other day I ran across one of the meanest people I've ever met. I'd love to post our conversation, but it would be against the rules. I have never met someone so full of hatred. I was actually trying to be nice to her when she lit into me and I never did say a cross word to her in the whole conversation, but she just kept getting meaner anyway. It's hard to think nicely about someone like that, but I got to thinking and came the conclusion that she probably has a miserable life. Jesus, she was nasty.

Isn't it always that way? When you remember to bring your umbrella with you ... it ain't raining. When you are NOT having your umbrella with you ... it is pouring down

That is one experience I can do without ... being in a fire.

The picture was taken at the Vogelsberg near Frankfurt. It is a dead vulcano. Very beautiful area and nice for a hike. Was there with my mom and her bf.

36. Got close
My apartment door faces the low side and I have to keep the storm drain free of pine needles and branches else the water could back up into my front door. As long as the drain is clear, I'll have no problem.

35. Hello MissHc
Do you have fire drills? We have one 4 times a year. They time us to see how fast we respond. They place a red umbrella somewhere in the building and that is the origin of the fire. We have to find the red umbrella, grab a fire extinguisher and pretend to put put the fire. All the doors in the building have to be shut. I hate it when the fire alarm goes off x(

meh. You get used to it after so many years :)
