It's sad how much pressure society puts on women - and women put on themselves - too look like some completely false epitome of beauty.

To a lesser extent, men suffer from this also*, but it's nowhere near as pervasive. I've known a lot of stunningly beautiful and shapely women who described themselves as "fat" or a "beast" in confidence to me and other close friends, and it's really sad. And having dealt with weight issues and fluctuations and distorted body image issues personally, I get it and am sympathetic, but I wish people could look at themselves more honestly.




* some men seem to see the opposite, seeing themselves as more studly/hot than they really are, but I digress....
