With Ebay it was blind luck. Most of the time I got it on the 3rd try; once I went to 5th.

13. I was honestly trying

Although "trying" might be a little of an exaggeration -- what I was doing was going with my first guess, the intuitive guess, without thinking about it. Which is what a good logo should be able to achieve.

I guess the subtle nuances were too subtle.
