Keep it in the freezer, pour it cold, delicious. About a shot on ice every couple of months. Ran out. went to the local speciality liquor store. They was out. But they had Gosling's. 151 proof Gosling's Black Seal rum. $22.50 +tax. 750 ML bottle.




It is very good.......... It may replace my Pusser's.

I have some liver problems-- not alcohol related but I'm off alcohol 100 percent for at least the rest of this year and quite likely off it forever if I don't want to get onto a transplant list in a few years. Most of the time I don't miss it, but your post awoke a serious jones for a good shot of rum. Dark rums are among my favorite spirits. :cry:

2. I am so sorry you have liver problems, I have to be careful that my medications don't wipe mine out

Every time I change prescriptions I have to get a liver function test for a couple of months to make sure I'm not screwing up my liver.

But every couple of months, a little dark rum makes me smile. :beer:

I read that wrong. If it's just medications you can probably tolerate an infrequent shot. But I have had that high test as a nightcap once and, lord, that was enough!

steroids, thyroid, heart and chemo...... it sucks.

out of all the hard stuff out there, for some reason rum is the only one that makes me silly and out of control....I can do shots of Jamison's and shit like that, but rum just fucks me up for some reason
