Good morning Lounge
How are you today?

I talked to my grandma yesterday. She, her brother and his wife are coming in 2 weeks for a visit :woohoo: I don't see them very often and of course I want to show them my new condo.

Otherwise nothing exciting is happening. Just daily work and normal, boring life.

1. ... and now for the bad news
Now you have to get busy and CLEAN that new condo.

:hi:

(never mind, I'm sure it's always spotless)

Nice picture. Interesting mix of old altar and new security fence.

It's wednesday, we're halfway there! I wish I could have slept more. Hopefully the day will go by quickly.

That altar piece is beautiful.

Hope you have a good day. It's nice that your family is close and you can have visitors.

Yeah, it is Hump Day - which helps a lot :)

My grandma lives about 5 hours away from me. Which isn't too far but still, I am not going there very often.

21. Sorry got TV on the brain
There's a new burger place at the end of the street. There's a bakery 2 doors down.

There's a WeightWatchers store in between the them.

Sometimes the stupid scares me.

11. It is so nice to be out of the Florida heat!
I had a nice visit with them yesterday, though I was so tired from getting up early.

Today I hope to drag them out for a walk around Freedom Park. Later we will hang out at the pool.

First some breakfast though; would you like some bacon and eggs?

How funny, I was away from the computer (searching for my glasses) and I was thinking I would ask you what you would do if you were here today...and you already answered before I asked!

Now, if I can just find those glasses...

32. I DID find the glasses!
I finally thought to myself that perhaps I had put them on the back of the couch.

For some reason, I always sleep on the couch here instead of the beds available.

Sure enough, they had fallen behind the couch.

We are going to take the light rail (not here when you were) downtown and go to the Art League to drop off a painting of my mother's and then going to do something else involving my father and a building (he used to be an architect), then have lunch somewhere...

Thanks for asking about the glasses:loveya:

39. Yes,
I just got out of the shower now, lol, not even dressed yet...but I'll go back downstairs and be a dutiful daughter. My dad got a new desk and I just helped him bring it in. He told my mother nothing about it, so now they are bitching at each other, lol! Been married over 50 years and still the same quarreling.

Is the arrogant woman still there or did she leave?

26. I went to my parents house to work on a sewing project
and my mother's sewing machine broke. It was not good.

Otherwise, it was pretty quiet, had pizza for dinner, and did some reading - nothing all that interesting though.

How about you?

28. Ya sure?
This lady has a very annoying sound when speaking, treats you like you are stupid. Searched for the collected works of an author. Can't find it. Asks me if she can't find it on the OPAC if I have another way to search (in the same database) to find if we have those collected works .... uhh .... if you can't find it (searched by author) then no, we don't have it. She barely believed me.

38. I am happy
but I'm a competitor, and can come across harsh on the field. To add, my suggestions to our manager on improving practice or recruiting players are not met with much enthusiasm, but then he'll do the opposite. That, and I'm tired of losing, tired of paying for the privilege, tired of being complained about, and tired of not taken seriously as the experienced player I am. I'd like a competitive team of experienced players that can win a game more often than twice a year.
