PC gurus---your help is needed!

I'm trying to remove a program from my computer, but every time I try I get a message that says; "Installation is missing instops.dat." Does anybody know what the hell "instops.dat" means?

2. Are you using the program's own removal program

or the one that comes with Windows. If you are using the program's own, try the windows version. If you think this is spyware/malware try using a good malware removal program, like malwarebytes (which can be found at Majorgeeks.com)

I'm not having much luck with the Norton Removal Tool site, but I'll try the Majorgeeks website. I can always count on people at DU to give me computer advice!
