Am I the only one who occasionally checks their "Moderator Messages" under the "My DU"

2. My folder seems to be empty, though I know I have had a thread locked.

I created poll which asked if the poll was written better than the Koran. Surprisingly, people voted for my poll, but then it got locked.

16. Actually, I am good with the current system. You get threads

locked/deleted if they are inappropriate, which is a warning to the wise. I ALWAYS am more careful after that happens to me.


Presumably, if you are REALLY out of control, you get the Moderator Message, an uber-warning to the wise...

5. Lots of us got 'em in 04 primaries.

That was a bloody time here and the system was a bit whacked. There were DUers who poured over posts of rivals and alerted on anything that offended them. Sadly that gang of bullies played a role in the loss (tombstoning) of many good posters and a few assholes. Was glad when they didn't put that same system in place for 08.

So back to your topic, many who were here for 04 primaries got messages from moderators. Never before or since though. Just glad to not care enough anymore to get upset. So many clowns here now it's easy to read inflammatory stuff, point, laugh and close out the DU window.

11. I checked after reading the first post in this thread.

It seems to indicate that you cannot post when there's a notification waiting for you, unless you display the notification (presumably reading it when it is displayed) and do some clicking or something to indicate that you intend to obey the rules in future.

So, provided that you don't lurk for a long period of time without posting, while also expecting (and not merely hoping) to be able to post, there seems to be nothing to worry about.

But, NO, I do NOT check because of the rest of the answer, "Can't be anything GOOD!1"

Although, I'm sure that if it were a big enough deal, I would be notified by e-mail!1

i think that the moderators appreciate a passionate post every now and then. some humor. a "fuck you" that they chuckle at too.
