I put up a blog and would love some feedback, please

I've been thinking about blogging for a while and was casting around for an idea until I came up with one that I think I can stick with and has a practically endless source of material, Since I love all things English language, I'm going to blog about how people can sometimes misuse the English language.

Please tell me what you think. The layout and colors? What would you like to see? Did I miss anything really big?

1. the biggest is red on black, i guess you don't want readers over 40

there is probably some reason for using colors that are deliberately difficult for people to read without fumbling around for reading glasses, but i don't know what they are -- sometimes there might be a personal or economic incentive for only wanting younger readers -- but on a language/vocabulary site? gray and red letters on a black background is just bad, bad, bad from a readability standpoint

consider using colors that are easier on older eyes -- the black goth backgrounds are just too tough for many of us

many people don't fumble around looking for their reading glasses, they just go on to the next site that's easier to read, i'm guilty of doing this all the time myself

good luck with your site but just consider...your topic potentially appeals to all ages so why not make it readable to all ages?

2. It's really orange on black

but I haven't quite settled on a theme yet.

Interestingly, 508 accessibility standards require that websites be able to be rendered in high contrast for visibility problems, or one of the viewers choosing. I haven't figured out yet if that's possible on wordpress.
