Florida never ceases to continue to fuck me over.
Went to change my license today. I have a CDL-B with P endorsement and air brakes. Florida, in it's incompetent and stupid ass way, screwed something up so that I cannot change my license in MA. Go figure why I was able to change it in NH a year and a half ago. How? Beats the fuck out of me.

Two hours at the DMV and they want ME to call Florida and straighten it out. Florida DMV who never answers their goddamn phones. La la la la la la la weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! It's like I died when in Florida and have been in hell ever since. lol.

1. I've had issues like that that took MONTHS to resolve....
Not Florida-- in my case it was Pennsylvania. But when you have to deal with a DMV that's across the country, it's the utter pits. Good luck!

I hope, somehow, beyond all expectations, you are able to get them to resolve this quickly.

13. My dear California Peggy!
I'm shocked to say, as a proud Floridian I take offense at your comment!

Don't worry, it's just a rite of passage thing. We still love you and all. Feeling of offense is now fading....

5. That sucks.
At least you moved back to NE (formerly from CT here and stuck in red hot as fuck GA)

We went home a couple weeks ago, the weather was beautiful.

Good luck----dealing with the DMV, especially out of state is a nightmare.

10. Start here for info for Florida Driver's Licenses
http://www.flhsmv.gov/HTML/dlnew.html

To email them: http://adlts4.hsmv.state.fl.us/ddl/emailsystem/QuestionSearch.cfm

If you can't find an answer, PM me here on DU. I'm in Tallahassee and have lots of time right now. I might can get info if I can't expedite things. Hubby used to work in the Driver's License office, but it's been thirty years so he doesn't keep up with anyone there anymore.

The PITA part is that Florida has cut state services way back, so as you said it's hard to get anyone on the phone.

11. Thank you!
I've been sitting on MA DMV customer service line for 30 minutes. They keep thanking me for my patience.

14. I hate being on hold!. I finally got smart and figured out to use the speaker setting
But have to be sure to hit the right button to take it off speaker and not hang up on the human when one finally shows up!

And usually the music sucks. One place had such crappy music, I told the human who picked up that I was in a bad mood because of their music. I begged not to be put back on hold, or if I was put back on hold DO NOT play the music. She couldn't do it without that crap music. By the time I was referred to a supervisor I was ready to tear my ears off, the music was that bad.

Twice in my life I have been on hold with good music. Once was when Corel was based in Ireland - they had the best Irish music on the hold line. The other time the company had some good classic rock, but they kept interrupting every ten seconds to tell me how valuable I was to them and that someone would be with me in a few minutes - or was it a few hours?

I am serious, though - if you need someone to call DMV here in Tallahassee, let me know.

15. I will let you know
I am still important to the MA DMV and breathlessly awaiting their response. Their music sucks.

12. Maybe you should have never left Florida in the first place.
Yes, I'll freely admit our state offices are incompetent thanks to this sales-tax only revenue scheme of ours. But perhaps the whole situation could have been fixed if you had never left the land of palm trees and sunshine to become a cold and frigid chowder head, all miserable and snowed in and pent up in your anger.

Just sayin'.
