5. Carter Heywood, by far!!
Edited on Mon Aug-03-09 07:33 PM by Deja Q

Michael Boatman's portrayal was wonderful - especially when responding to Stuart. (they made a great double-act.) As the show progressed (seasons), his character did end up becoming a little cartoonish, but especially early on, it was great to see a character like his on television.

Edited: minor clarification

6. Of interesting note is this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carter_Heyward

The Spin City character's surname id "Heywood" but there's a historical figure named "Heyward". I wonder if there is significance between the two...

About as far imaginable as anything you could find on "The Birdcage". Also reportedly one of President Obama's favorite TV characters.

28. Indeed.
I just sat through a screening of the entire series (over a couple of months, of course) with a friend. I warned her that "The Wire" would be addictive. I soon began receiving calls like "Hey, you want to come over for dinner tonight? No, I have everything here. Okay, see you at six....oh, bring The Wire with you!"

I just moved back to my hometown after a decade living in downtown Bal'mer, hon. It's amazing how many real politicians and news events influenced the characters and story lines. Your namesake, for example, is modeled after then mayor (now Maryland governor) Martin O'Malley.

Best. Show. Ever.

57. I loved Stanford and Anthony from the "Sex and the City" TV series...
Although they kinda ruined them in the movie. Those 2 couldn't stand each other and were so funny whenever they were in the same room together. By the end of the series, Stanford was in a long-term relationship and Anthony, well he was Anthony. However, when they did the movie last year, Stanford's boyfriend just disappeared with no explanation AND a romance developed between Stanford and Anthony. I thought it was kinda lame.
