When I was 16 I discovered how to make out on almost every date. I now know how sick it was.
I learned that to make it with my date I should wear the same after shave as her father. I discovered this secret to success by accident. I was hanging out with my best friends 17 year old sister. While in their bathroom I splashed her dad's after shave on. While listening to records she starting making out with me. Previous to this event she had totally ignored me. Voila! After this I made it a point to check out the after shave in the bathroom cabinets of all of my dates. I had more action than any 16 year old could handle. My only mistake was telling my best friend of my discovery. He broke my nose. My bathroom cabinet however was filled with Old Spice and Aqua Velva until I left home.

18. So...women who have uncommitted sex are whores?

Is that what you're saying?

I'm well aware that in spite of the sexual revolution a great many people still think that way.

7. Wow. That's really interesting.
And really weird. Why would girls be attracted to boys that smell like their dads. :wow:

9. Simple association, I think.
Dad's the man. Most teenage girls see Dad as the man they most admire, and smells are powerful associations. I think it worked because the boyfriend that smells like Dad just is appealing to the girl due to the association.

Nothing wierd about it at all.

33. Yeah, I think so.
Our parents are our models, unless they blow that role somehow. So, we generally grow up to be a lot like the parent of the same sex and to be attracted to someone like the parent of the opposite sex.

Lots of variables, of course, and we mostly don't see it, but I know my wife tells me I'm a lot like my father, and she sorta reminds me of my Mom in her temperament and some other ways.

Of course, this is not cut-and-dry by any means. There are so many things that we pick up from others that it's all moderated somewhat.

20. Smell is a power unconscious trigger
Certain scents just do it for you; I'm sure you can think of a few that work on you, as well. In this case, the above posters that responded to you probably have a point.

On the package for their body spray it reads "The Original. If your grandfather hadn't worn it, you wouldn't exist."

in using the after shave to score with the girls. I was too shy to do that in high school (or college for that matter...)

Did know one guy in college that really planned ahead, though. His high school was minutes from the University of Connecticut campus and he was pretty sure he was going there when he graduated HS, as a ton of kids from his school went there. So, when he was a junior & senior in high school, he was super-nice to every girl that was a freshman or sophomore in his high school - almost like a big brother to them. So, 3-4 years later, when he was a junior/senior at UConn, these girls would run into him again in college and they would have fond memories of this super nice guy from before... and, now that they had the freedom of being college students, they were putty in his hands. This guy had more 18-20 year old women than he knew what to do with.

most of the time. Toward the end, a little Grey Flannel.

:-)

But, really I just liked his natural scent, especially after he had been out working in the summer garden. :-)

36. This is an example of something that really pisses me off about many men.

"My only mistake was telling my best friend of my discovery. He broke my nose. "

So, it would've been A-OK if you'd gotten some nooky from some woman OTHER THAN A RELATIVE OF HIS?

Many men think any woman out there is fair game, but let some guy get some nooky from THEIR female relative, and they're really pissed.

I think this has to do with the idea of "women as property' in the patriarchal society.
