Embarrassing Hotel story

Once , for a review meeting I flew to Boston. After settling down in my room and trying to get some shut eye , I heard a loud bang that sounded to me at the time just like a gun firing in an adjacent room. After much ado about nothing , me and the hotel manager checking on rooms , asking around , with some people confirming they heard very dull sound. I turned red in the face as I remembered that I turned the ice machine in the fridge as I came in , and that loud noise I heard was actually from my room , and was just the first batch of ice dropping into the ice bucket.

Boy did I look stupid that night.
