Never helped me. I figured I'd been taken, but lots of folks swear by them, so I felt less guilty when I got my money back.

9. I was recently treated for an acute upper respiratory infection

I told the NP that I used it, and she advised against it. The benzonatate prescription and guaifenesin were much more helpful.

I don't know if I'll use it again. I found it to be helpful at times, but I don't know if the cleaning method I used (vinegar as opposed to bleach) was effective.

11. I've Used One

I have sinus problems. I actually kind of like the feel of it and it kinda works for a little while. It's like a lot of "natural" remedies. It does a little something to help, but it's no match for good old-fashioned chemicals like, in this case, pseudoephedrine.

14. I love my neti pot...

I used to get every cold going around, and they'd last 7-10 days. Now I get maybe 1-2/year, and they last about 4 days. Plus helpful for sinus headaches, dry sinus passages, allergies, etc. :)

15. Probably the one thing I recommend the most to people

Last year I had a severely painful ear inflammation for which I went to the doctor and got an antibiotic. After a week, no improvement. I see different doctor and he puts me on a more powerful antibiotic. Again, no improvement. I neti-potted and the inflammation went right away. So that's my first choice now for ear or sinus problems. I also neti-pot after mowing the lawn now and it prevents the usual sinus headaches I use to get after that activity.
