11. I read a book that described aliens coming to the earth,

after having scoped it out 800 years earlier. Apparently they were expecting primitives running around half naked throwing spears and living in feudal societies. What they got were primitives that had noisy flying machines and close to developing nuclear weapons. Yeah they were in for a surprise (both the aliens and the primitives)!
