Would you be entertained in a bar to watch an older gent with
a shaved head and cowboy boots, playing electric guitar and a harmonica on a neck clamp while singing older Led Zep tunes?

This may be my next career choice.....

or I could just stay home.

5. I was the singer and bass player for a blues band for about 12 years,
but that was in the late '60's till about '74, with time off for the army. Altogether, I played in bar bands for about 16 years.
My voice is actually better bacause I haven't smoked for about 18 years.
I am practicing, but just wanted to think about performing from time to time as a spur to get myself to practice more and learn more material.

It has been interesting to try to adapt some songs to s single guitar - I find myself learning more and more, and discovering more and more players and music than I have ever known before, and this alone is very enjoyable.

9. Thanks - I have a few songs, but they are an odd combination of old blues,
Neil Young and Lou Reed, with a few obscure Ramones tunes.

Working on getting a good amplifier next.

3. Sure, if you can actually sing and play reasonably well.
It's not like you're trying out for a part as a torch-singing chanteuse.

12. Blue vegan combat boots would impress me more...

I'd be like "Hey, that guy's got the same shoes as me!"

Generally, yeah...I'd be entertained by that. I used to pick entertainment acts for the hump-day party (this was a weekly event that grew so big that students from other universities would come to our campus for it) at the on-campus coffeehouse/pub I worked at. Generally, those acts did better than the dozen identical pop-punk trios who auditioned every week.

I say go for it. You'd do well to add some lighter sing-along material to the act (maybe some Jimmy Buffett or "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison? "Hey Jude" was a crowd pleaser too, except that 200 drunk over-caffeinated college students can't carry a tune.)
