1. Interesting. I always like anchovy and jalapeno peppers on mine too. For two reasons,
first, because I really like them, and second, because it cut down on the mooch factor. I'd ask if anyone wanted to go in on a pizza, they'd all say no. Naturally, when the pizza arrived, they'd all beg for a piece. That didn't happen when I had pizzas with anchovies and jalapenos.

5. LOL!!!
"mooch" factor.

It worked for me, too! When I would go out for pizza with my friends, not only did no one want a piece of my pizza, they didn't want me sitting at the same table!

to like anchovies and jalapenos.

38. The best pizza in the world is Fruit Pizza
A baked cookie crust is spread with cream cheese and whipped topping, and fresh fruit is spiraled onto the top. A sweetened, citrus glaze is then spooned over the fruit. Chill this sweet pizza before serving.

think about giving me Dominos, Pizza Hut, Little Caesars or the like). After that, as long as it doesn't have seafood, bell peppers (allergic), or bbq sauce, I'm open on ingredients. I don't like when there is too much cheese or too many wet ingredients to make it soggy, but a nice amount is delicious. Pepperoni, sausage, basil, garlic, goat cheese, mushroom, onion, asparagus, tomato, olives...

mmm...

24. Why thank you, CMW.
It's of our own design and execution. The field tiles were left over from flooring of a friend's house. I then special ordered all the smaller pink and black tiles. There were supposed to be small rose-colored ones in the design, too, but try as I might, I couldn't get them, they had been discontinued.

I did this to match my kitchen table which is my grandmother's pink, black and grey formica and chrome table as seen here under something you might be a bigger fan of.

:hi:

27. oooooh! can you post more shots of your table?
that looks really interesting - I've never seen a mixed color like that.

I found my dream kitchen table at a thrift/antique store - yellow and crome plus chairs. They didn't hold up too well (cats - the frames are in the garage awaiting ... something - hand carved wood???) but I love the table.

33. I don't have another very good one.
I tried to crop this one down to get a better view of it but it's still fuzzy. You get the idea, tho. I have another leaf for it.

She also had a very similar one that was green and cream. You're right about the chairs. They just don't hold up as well over the years. My cats have also scratched the pads up on them a little. Still trying to break them of that.

I did find this site that I'm planning on possibly ordering replacement chairs from: http://www.seatsandstools.com/

Enjoy your dream table. The yellow ones are very pretty, too. :hi:

26. New Jersey pizza
A thin crust that's been twirled in the air, dripping with grease, with a dash of crushed red pepper flakes from the shaker on your table.

Maryland is a pizza desert.

give them a try. They're my favorite pizza in the world, and I'm Italian from PA/NJ/NY, so I know my pizza.

Check them out: http://www.ledopizza.com/

34. Thanks, but we're not into Ledo's
Thank you very much for the suggestion, Tangerine. I guess I'm just spoiled for NJ-NY pizza.

We've tried Ledo's, because there is one very close by. Their crust isn't twirled, but patted into the pan, so it just doesn't have the same texture. Also their sauce is too thick and sweet for my taste. After 19 years in Maryland, we've concluded that Trader Joe's frozen pies are about as good as we're going to get here. Once in a while I make my own pizza, making dough or buying it from Trader Joe's. I toss it around a bit, but have never been coordinated enough to manage the twirling. It stretches the gluten, or something. My first husband's mother, a superb cook who was raised in Italy, taught me how to make decent sauce and a few more things, bless her.

We fill up on pizza every time we visit my father-in-law in Toms River NJ.

Carmelized onions, artichokes, green olives, chopped chicken, feta and provolone, topped with basil. Olive oil on the edge with garlic powder and sesame seeds. Wow! One of my best ever!

35. Chef Boyardee
Edited on Wed Jul-01-09 09:54 AM by Orsino

Made with these kits: http://www.chefboyardee.com/tasteefood/kits.jsp

Add parmesan and Italian seasoning to the crust, and sprinkle more of each on top of a nice cheese mix. Mozzarella, Colby-Jack, or the six-cheese Italian blend work well--cheddar will make the pizza very oily, so use it sparingly.
