Last week in Ohio (knock on wood)

Well, earlier this month my move date got pushed back to the end of the month, but barring any huge disaster (knock on wood) I will be leaving for NYC this Friday. My truck is sold, my possessions are whittled down to a semi-reasonable amount (it's not easy as I am a packrat sometimes, although I generally am not attached to most 'stuff'), and most things are packed and ready to go out the door.

Woot!

I'm still kinda nervous and freaking out a little, and will miss my friends here, but I am mostly excited to give this a shot, to live somewhere where I don't need to own a car, and that I enjoy. I miss my friends up there and am excited to see them, some of whom I have not seen in several years.

Plus, although I have not lived in NY since I was a kid, I was born there, so it feels a little like a homecoming of sorts, albeit a weird one. I have visited a lot though, and the past few times started getting me thinking about it.
