Saying Goodbye stinks.
My dad left today. He came down on the 4th to spend some time with us here in Texas. I was lucky that he was here to deal with the mean old HOA people who tried to say I didn't get permission for my pool, he was here to give me good advice as to what to do with the 401K that is still in MrG's name...He was my dad basically. I didn't realize how much I miss him until I was sobbing my eyes out in the driveway this morning as he drove away. I find myself not wanting to go to the grocery store because he was with us last time and it will make me sad. I don't want to sit out back because he sat out back with us.

At least, there are the kittens...

6. She is the sweetest, most cuddle-i-est thing.
She falls asleep in my neck all the time. Kittimus enjoyed playing with them when he was here.

3. Mmmmm... a calico AND an orange tabby...
purrrrrrrr.......

You do realize that the 'M' on tabbies' foreheads is for my true and actual name of "Mark", right? Therefore, in a sense, all tabbies (orange or gray) are mine. :-)

Think pleasant kitty thoughts...

12. Probably not. He has a large and good group of friends.
Part of why I moved was so he wouldn't feel so responsible for me after MrG.

But be happy you actually want to see your father. There are so many people out there who have had falling outs with their parents that they go the rest of their lives without caring if they ever see them again.

15. Please tell me that wagon-wheel thing is NOT in your backyard!!
Did he get a chance to go out
dancing while he was
down there?

He MIGHT relocate if he
got into square dancing.....

Tell me you can't envision him in THIS:

18. Nope, it's in front of a store in Old Town Spring...
The only people I've ever seen like that are at Diamond's and Spurs up your way. This is salsa dancing country. :)
