Best SpyWare?
Is there a such thing as "free" spyware? Lots of free scans out there, but to clean you need to purchase. I'm poor. Anything free I need to know about?

1. go to download.com
http://www.download.com and type in spyware remover and there should be a list of some free ones...spybot is pretty good and so is AdAware

5. I second (3rd?) AdAware and Spybot S&D.

If you computer is SO effed up that those 2 don't finish the job (like the really bad one I spent all day yesterday trying to clean up) add CWShredder and HiJack This into the mix.

Don't just willy-nilly go deleting everything HiJack This finds though - you post your results to the web and have someone tell you what to delete.

Anyway, those four products mentioned above, and massive Norton scans and Panda online Active scans for virus removal - saved the computer I was working on from having to be formatted. It was BAD.

4. and once you get your machine clean
download mozilla and use it instead of IE6.0. Talk about worry free surfing? and better options and features.
