2. I worked a (PI) job at the Koln Intercontinental. I felt like James Bond
nice hotels and they feel very European, (makes sense, really)

6. My favorite?
This one:

http://www.sofitel.com/gb/hotel-6214-sofitel-london-heathrow/index.shtml

Really amazing, very plushy, very comfortable, responsive staff, and on and on...

This one took me 65 years!

And, you can walk from the terminal!

20. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend you go.
I saved for a few years to make it happen. It's a little frustrating knowing that I probably won't be able to go for another 30 years.

I did get some great photos though.

17. You're welcome. Americans rarely go to Beihai except on a business trip,
which I was on. Beihai is a beach resort city and the visitors are almost 100% from within China.

23. does the old Del Coronado count?
never stayed there but did a tour and my best freinds in grade/high school had a condo nearby. Also I have a "conection" to the Phoenician - I was on the jury for Charles Keating's civil trial in Tucson - that place figured in some of the evidence.

Otherwise luxury hotels and I don't really mix, as it were. I'm all about staying with real people or cool little off the wall places. (and preferably in more rural areas - don't really care for the big city thing)

24. Orchid Garden Hotel in Brunei
Edited on Mon Jun-15-09 08:38 PM by RFKHumphreyObama
The hotel that Bill Clinton stayed in when he visited Brunei and where the APEC Leaders Summit in the late 1990s was held. All the amenities and quality service you could expect to find in a luxury hotel and more -a fabulous choice of restaurants and good quality room service, great facilities, very friendly and professional staff and everything you could possibly ask for. . Absolutely splendid. Couldn't recommend it enough and look forward to going back
