Frankie's kennel was in our bedroom. My husband put it into the garage, because he couldn't bear to see it empty. As for me, seeing the empty spot where the kennel was is so much more painful than seeing the empty kennel.

He's not lying under the table at my feet. When I go up to take my bath, he won't be napping on the rug next to me.

My kids are so sad.

Even Dino, the fat orange cat, seems sad.
