Someone (I forget who) recently expressed a friendly interest on what my political views are.

I am a life long Democrat.

When I was little, my parents used to tell me that the Democrats were better because "they are for the poor people".

I believe in equal rights for all. And I mean ALL.

I believe in giving until it hurts to those less fortunate than myself.

I believe in a single payer health care system.

I do not believe in war except to protect from an imminent threat.

That being said, I have deep respect for our military, for we could not exist peacefully without them.

I believe that we should once again strive to be "the land of the free".

Dennis Kuchinich (spelling?) was my first choice.

I have tendancies toward Socialism.

That's all I can think of right now.

I do not agree with everything that Obama has done, but I think he is measured, thoughtful, and so so intelligent.

I'm happy he won.
