that recognition of a different and changed E-address goes unheeded for whatever reason. I even wrote letters via "snail amil" Snail mail is offensive to the employees of the USPS who are in the most part, loyal Union members and Democrats. It is up to you to change your email address. You do that at the "edit account information". Go to your inbox and look to the top of the column to your left.

The post office employees I know realize that emails are faster than the service they offer. They do not take offense to the term "snail mail" any more than they took offense to the term "by pony express".

I sent surface letters, no response. I can respond online only if no one responds otherwise. I have friends and family that work for the USPS and this term is offensive, perhaps the USPS employees you know are the kind the management appreciates.

transmitted instantaneously over the internet is much faster than the service that USPS provides. They get the "snail mail" and often refer to the mail they deliver as snail mail.

One fellow I know actually attended a Halloween party as a snail - his friends and coworkers loved the costome, the humor.

I hope you are complaining to Wikipedia, Merriam Webster and a whole host of other internet resources that use and define the term "snail mail".
