I know many people may say NYC or LA but try and pick one that most would not think of. I would say Duluth, Minnesota because it snows a lot and it is near Canada(if I wanted to visit).

The old mansions and the mossy oaks are breathtaking - but so is the humidity. Man does it get steamy in the summer!!! :hi:

50. I have been there
only one time
My cousin Bob is an attorney and although he is an Oklahoma native like he has lived in Savannah seems like forever
He used to be on the bench there (elected position)
He knew a lot of people the The Book
We stayed at a beach house on Tybee Island that belonged to the family of a University of South Florida professor who was a friend of ours
Had breakfast at the well, Breakfast Club
Had a really great dinner on Tybee at a B&B the name of which I can't recall
We saw Emma Kelly at Hannah's East (see The Book)
Did not see the Lady Chablis

My cousin Gaylen lives in a house that (part of) dates to the 1400's somewhere near Frankfurt

is a town in Mexico frozen forever in volcanic lava. The name is commonly used as a tongue twister. It was swallowed up by the lava from the famous Paricutin volcano. This is the volcano that sprouted in a cornfield in Michoacan, Mexico.

Rarely do volcanologists get to watch the birth, growth, and death of a volcano. Paricutin provided such an opportunity. The eruption that created Paricutin began in 1943 and continued to 1952. Most of the explosive activity was during the first year of the eruption when the cone grew to 1,100 feet (336 m). The cone continued to grow for another 8 years but added only another 290 feet (88 m). Effusive activity began on the second day and continued to the end of the eruption. Lava flows covered about 10 square miles (25 square km) and had a volume of about 0.3 cubic miles (1.4 cubic km). The rate of eruption declined steadily until the last 6 months of the eruption when violent explosions were frequent and violent.

PS: The full name of Mexico, the country, is the United States of Mexico.

Pittsburgh ranked tops in U.S. by The Economist

<snip>
Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato was calling -- no, crowing -- from his cell phone, in full, gleeful, salesman-for-the-region mode, ticking off the number of recent surveys declaring Pittsburgh the nation's most livable city (four or five); the number of front-page New York Times stories about Pittsburgh in the past three months (two) and the value of such publicity to the Pittsburgh area (priceless).

Given that abundance of good publicity, the news that Pittsburgh once again is the most livable city in the United States -- and 29th worldwide -- in a 2009 survey by British magazine The Economist was "great news, but not a surprise," Mr. Onorato said.

"This is now the fourth or fifth independent survey from outside the region talking up the Pittsburgh metro region. You have the stories in The New York Times, the president picks us to host the G-20 summit, now you have this magazine, plus others over the years. It's amazing."

The Economist Intelligence Unit -- which publishes numerous surveys and studies for paying clients -- has ranked Pittsburgh first in U.S. livability ratings since it started measuring them in 2005, said Jon Copestake, editor of the survey.
