1. Shouldn't that sort of thing create a universe-ending paradox?
But in all seriousness, there should be a way for you to restore it to your desktop. If you find the trash can program on your computer, you should be able to right-click and choose a create shortcut on desktop option, and that should bring it back.

Unless a paradox has already destroyed the universe.

2. Now, your computer is going to look like mine...

with crap everywhere. It looks like a pig sty on my desktop. :P

If you are using Vista...the dumb fucks added a delete option to the Recycle Bin context menu. What kind of dumbass idiot came up with that idea? Guaranteed to freak people out and cause all sorts of trouble. Anyone who actually wants to delete their Recycle Bin should have to go work for it just a little so the rest don't have to go through this crap.

Here is a handy dandy link for ya:

3. Yep. Vista.
I was deleting a few Excel docs that I'd had on my desktop for weeks, and I was moving pretty fast...without my glasses...and BAM, no recylcle bin.

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out presently.

4. I don't have Vista, but I've used it.
I have XP. I'm a lucky lucky girl.

The few times I have used Vista, it has made me want to throw things and mutter nasty words under my breath in between the curse words expelled very loudly at regular intervals. I feel your pain.

5. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Totally worked. (Phew!)

Gotta remember: glasses first, then start clicking on stuff. To tell you the truth, I wouldn't have read the warning window anyway. But I sure as hell will now (at least for the next 4 or 5 times, until I get complacent again...lol.)

Thanks again for the help!
