2. I'm sure I will!
I'm futzing with the order all the time.

Waiting for me at home this evening: Escape from the Planet of the Apes. In my opinion, a shamefully underappreciated classic of the Apes Rule the Earth genre.

6. It made me cry
I haven't seen Failsafe for years, but just browsing along, there it was. I saw the live remake on TV. Kinda interesting, the live part and all. But it didn't have the magic tragedy of the original.

Thanks! I'll check out Manchurian Candidate. I've heard of it but have no idea what it's about. Any other reocmmendations?

8. cold war or just regular films?
for cold war, gotta go with the best all-time: Dr. Strangelove. A film I always recommend, as it is one of my favs, is Drugstore Cowboy. Great black comedy.

4. Everyday a birthday
One of the hidden delights of Netflix for me is not knowing what I'm getting from day to day...just go to the mailbox, open the envelope and surprise...it's Freaky Friday.

9. That will be fun
Right now I'm all wrapped up in my queue. I keep a careful watch of what's coming and when, I reorder things, plan according to the postal schedule so I get them just before the weekend ... I've thought about what you say and I think it will be fun when I've done this for awhile and stop thinking about it and they just arrive whenever they do, like little Christmas or birthday surprised thoughout the month. That'll be fun.

Right now I'm spending way too much time in front of the TV.

5. I just placed my first
order last night. Buh-bye Blockbuster Video! Still haven't forgiven Blockbuster for NOT carrying Scorcese's "The Last Tempation of Christ" though they do carry every slasher blood n guts film ever made. And I'm SURE they'll carry Mel's bloody opus.

7. No NetFlix, No Blockbuster...all FREE
While I'm sure NetFlix has a much better choice than Blockbuster, I do the same thing that you're doing with my local library, and it's all FREE!

The library here is very nice, and they have an extensive collection of about 4000 DVD feature movies. And what they don't have in DVD's they have in VHS.

All I have to do is log onto my account via the Internet, search for the movies I want, and they're held at the desk under my name. There's no limit on the number of films you can check out at any given time. And you can extend your checkout time over the Internet, so long as no one else has a hold on the movie in question.

The best part is, I like to imagine that they exclusively use the tax dollars of Republicans to fund my movie habit.

12. The Sopranos
We went through the first 4 seasons of "The Sopranos" the last month or so with a few other movies thrown in here & there for some variety. I have "Lonesome Dove" sitting here for this weekend.

It's a great service, I love it!
