Poll question: Best Fast Food Cheeseburger and Fries
Which fast food chain has the best burger and fries combo? I know that not all of these chains are national, so feel free to write in your favorite.

9. Keep forgetting them .........
They started here in Alexandria, and even at the beginning, their burgers were mediocre.

Their hot dogs, though, were really good.............

10. Apparently they have locations in the Detroit area
I may have to go check them out. Although, I prefer hot dogs so I might try that instead of a burger.

23. I just drove by a sign today that says "Five Guys coming soon!"
Which, while it sounds vaguely dirty, I assume to mean a Five Guys restaurant will be built in the near future. ;)

I'm in Boise.

51. There is a Five Guys in Ocala, FL.
Of all places. I ate at the original some years ago in Arlington, VA (lived just down the road), so when I saw this place in Ocala, I had to check it out. It's the real thing. In the middle of geezerville. But it draws a real crowd. The geezers know their burgers.

A little more than I usually want to pay for a burger. I do love how it's steeped in San Francisco lore though.

At least that's the only place I've ever seen one, though someone told me they expanded to Vegas in recent years (been a decade or so since I was in Sin City)

EDIT: Actually... it looks like they're taking over the whole Southwest

44. Love their burgers, not such a fan of their fries
Probably ruined by all those coated crunchy french fries, and so now In-and-Outs's seems plain (yes, I know, hand cut and fresh).

But it's still always my first stop off the plane at LAX...

Best burger and fries combo doesn't come in a fast-food variety.

Boom Burgers in Belmar, NJ, now that's a great burger and fries combo.

I'm real close to Belmar. My vote goes to American Roadside for the burgers (there's one on Long Island about five minutes away from my sister's) and to Five Guys for the fries. Best fries I ever had.

41. Their Island Fire Burger sets the gold standard for fast-food burgers
Unfortunately, it's a seasonal item that only shows up every so often.

Their dollar-menu Junior Deluxe Burger is the most satisfying cheapo hamburger around.

Locally we have Cook Out. Burgers are good but fries are off-shelf.

Oh and I forgot! Backyard Burgers. They're pretty neat - somewhere between Hardees and Cookout. Yum!
