Poll question: What REALLY happened to Calvin of "Calvin & Hobbes"?
Just finally quit mourning enough (after 13 years) to go get another Calvin & Hobbes book, "Scientific Progress Goes 'Boink'" and it's a wonderful trip back. So I was just wondering...

1. That's EASY - He is Jeremy from the strip ZITS!
They even implied the connection a few years back when, in a very Calvin like setting, Jeremy shrunk to Calvin age and proportions.

If you aren't familiar with ZITS, you should find it - you'll love it.

2. He and Jeffy from "Family Circus" are now gay lovers....
Calvin helped Jeffy deal with the rejection of his fundie family after he came out of the closet. They reside in Northern California, and hope to get married one day.

9. Ironically, Jeffy now draws Family Circus
Possibly the closest thing to something funny coming out of that strip ever. Billy is no doubt ever jealous.

18. "Peeing on all those Ford and Chevy logos"
Watterson refuses to merchandise the strip outside of reprints, and it still gets commercially appropriated in ways he wouldn't like. Serves the prick right. I still want a stuffed Hobbes.

19. Those decals depicted Calvin way out of character
especially the one of him praying. Check out the strip below.

Here's an amusing old article about Calvin & Hobbes and Fight Club:

Calvin & Hobbes was one of my favorite strips next to the Peanuts and The Far Side. I miss them so! :(

22. Damn, thats a good one
I haven't read C and H for a long time, I would LOVE to get the whole set/collection. I saw it up at Hastings not to long ago, but the price tag was pretty damn hefty.

21. He is a P.I, aka Tracer Bullet:
Tracer Bullet: I have two magnums in my desk. One's a gun, and I keep it loaded. The other's a bottle, and it keeps me loaded.
