1. I got one from a lady dying of cancer who needs to share $15,000,000
with the world before she dies and she chose ME to help her share it. Isn't that wonderful? She does have to approve the charity, but once I send her my bank account information she will let ME spend it in any way I wish (because she knows what a great person I am!)

I feel so lucky. :D

2. I've received some weird bulk mails about puppies for adoption
Never answered them, but I suspect it's another fishing expedition to get personal info.

4. One would think that, if one is going to set up a scam, opne might do some research
you know, spend an extra five minutes doing spell check, grammar check, and so on. Maybe another 5 minutes and $10 setting up a plausible domain for the email, something like "britishconsulate.com".

5. It’s a game of numbers.
Hit on 100 get 1, not all people are as astute and analytical as you. It must work sometimes or they wouldn’t bother doing it. And there is always the old saying, something about a sucker born every minute.
