Specifically the crooning...

Doesn't seem like a Bing croon, but more of a "I AM THE LIZARD KINGGGGGG" kinda croon...

1. If Morrison hadn't died, he'd have been forgotten by now, thank goodness
Or else we'd see him on those PBS specials where they roll out those dusty old forgotten performers of yesteryear.

4. Love him or hate him, he brought a distinct style to music
His poetry? Horrible

But his gravitas - that's what inspired the Iggy Pops and Nick Caves

2. Is it just me, or does Morrison not deserve to be mentioned with those three?

3. Well...all three of those were big Morrison fans
As in, they patterned much of their style after him

So if there was no Morrison, we instead would be going to James Osterberg and the Berg-tones concerts instead.

And instead of Nick Cave and the bad seeds, it would be Nicholas Cave and the Seedlings

6. Yes, and although none of them were ever as pretty as Jimbo in his prime...
they all do it better.
i would also include Ian McCulloch in there - "Sure, I'm influenced by Morrison, but I'm a much better singer"
