A-wunferul, a-wunerful! It's Lawrence Welk's birthday.

That's right, folks. The late King of M.O.R. (Middle of the Road) music was born in Strasburg, North Dakota on March 11, 1903. If memory serves me correctly, Welk passed away in 1992.

Now, who remembers "Calcutta," his #1 hit from early 1961?
