James Cameron's "Avatar."
Edited on Sat May-09-09 08:31 PM by Mike 03
Yes, to my shame, I am asking for information, even rumors.

Anybody know what the story is with Cameron's new film "Avatar"?

All I have heard is that the delay is due to special effects issues. The latest pushback date I have heard is Winter 2009.

Is this going to be a 3-D film?

Will the budget be close to three hundred million?

EDIT:

Just for some frame of reference, this will be Cameron's first film since "Titanic," which was, for its time, the most expensive film ever. (And the money was well spent, in my humble opinion.)

1. It is supposed to have some awesome 3-D indeed
Here's a very tiny partial review of the unfinished version of Avatar: http://www.aintitcool.com/node/40918

At that same site you can type in Avatar in the search box and find other info. I know there's more, I'm just too tired to hunt it down right now. :P
