fair tax

while at work, my boss was talking about the fair tax act. being presented by her, it really did make since. why am i confused? i think it would be great to bring home all that i have earned in a pay period and not have to worry about paying taxes except for major purchases. even food and necessitates wouldn't be included. please explain why this would be bad.

think of a definition of 'fair tax' and post it in the 'economic issues' forum or perhaps 'general discussion'.
