So I finally watched "the Wrestler' yesterday and this is all I have to say about this...
The right person won the Academy Award.
Yes, Mickey Rourke was really good in "The Wrestler" but the movie was pretty much unwatchable to me. After sleeping thru part of it I realized it was best to pack it up and send it back to Netflix.
I suppose there was some profound meaning about never giving up the dream but honestly - just didn't do it for me. I was more inspired by the store of Harvey Milk then I was of the Randy 'The Ram" Robinson.
1. I thought it was overhyped, but I was pleasantly surprised
that I left the theater with my crush on and lust for Marisa Tomei intact. I was worried that seeing her being romantic with Micky Rourke would leave her dtm. Or rather me dth.
