Any other "Administrative Professionals" being honored today?

I've received two boxes of chocolate today as gifts for "Administrative Professionals Day." For chrissakes, I'm a secretary. Just call it "Secretary's Day." I dont' mind.

Anyway, it's nice to be remembered. One box from the firm, the other - Godiva! - from one of my attorneys, along with a book.

BTW, chocolate is nice, but dangerous in the hands of a diabetic. :evilgrin:

2. I have one boss who remembers to think of me all the time

just never on this Hallmark holiday.

He's always bringing me in terrific lunches, getting me tickets to hockey games and the symphony, and just being good to me.

My other two bosses don't seem to know I exist, until I fuck up.

3. Up until a few years ago it was called "Secretary's Day". I guess it's

a little more PC to refer to secretaries as Administrative Assistants. However, I didn't get anything this year and the boss is out of town so I doubt that there will be any belated recognition of the day, either. It's no big deal. He's a great boss and is very generous to all of his employees in other ways.

12. I gave giifts and cards to all five of ours

Only two acknowledged that they got them even though I know they all did. I wasn't looking for a thank you note or anything but I find it odd that they said nothing.
