Edited on Thu Apr-16-09 07:56 AM by Bertha Venation
Short of cutting off text messaging, there is nothing I can do to reduce it.*

:banghead:

* Edit: I was wrong. I just got off a call with the phone company and reduced my bill by $34. :woohoo:

1. Ours is about $150 per month for internet (DSL), two iPhones and landline
with three separate numbers (home, my studio and fax). :hi:

5. Me too, pretty close to that.
We don't use the cellphones like landlines, though.

7. We don't either
The landline I use mostly for by computer repair business, the VOIP we use for everything else including long distance, we only use our cells for calls when either of us is out and need to contact each other. I doubt that 6 people have my cell number-I use it so rarely I have to look up my own number to give it out. We don't text or any of that BS-don't even have the voice mail set up.

6. That's what mine is and I don't even have texting on my cell phone
I did manage to reduce it from around $235 by getting rid of a premium cable package my husband snuck in on the service when we ordered it. We were just going to take the basic, but he decided since he's home all day doing virtually nothing while I work that he had to have all the HBO channels and another movie channel. I will admit that I enjoyed watching a few programs on HBO like Bill Maher, but the extra money wasn't worth it. I asked him if we could discontinue it about a year ago and he threw a hissy fit. But, when I had to declare bankruptcy this past December and the house is going into foreclosure, he decided that he could probably manage without HBO. Gosh, honey, thanks - now if you would just get up off your ass and get a job to help me try and keep the house, that would be great.

8. I only have a wireless phone....
My bill is just below $100, what with the data and texting additions to my package.

10. We gave up our cell phones and went back to a landline
$46.00 a month for local, USA long distance and unlimited calls to Canada are included. (the Canada option accounts for $5.95 of the $46.00.

Our cell phones were costing us about $120 a month.

I don't miss them.

15. I'm ready to give ours up, too.
We have a landline without the long distance service (because we're in the boonies and need it for DSL) which runs us about $58/mo, which is about $20 less than we were paying, plus our cellphones with free unlimited long distance which run about $68/mo. for the both of them combined. My husband's employer just gave him a iPhone to use as long as he's employed there.

I don't turn on my cell much. I only have it for long distance calls and if I have car trouble on the road. It doesn't hve caller ID, call waiting, or voice mail on it.

I just know that as soon as I do something, there will be something that will change and I'll regret it. So, except for getting the cost of the landline reduced, I've done nothing.

:hi:

11. My land line
runs about $18.00 to $27.00 per month, and my cell is $5.00 plus tax per month.

(I really don't like making phone calls.)

12. I've got a cell phone and Vonage for my land line
and my total bill is around $70 a month. Of course, I rarely use either one of those, and I'm probably paying too much, but it seems to work for me.

14. $27 for land line
I refuse to have a cell. Nothing's that important in my life that I need to be reachable where ever I am.

16. $52, unlimited minutes, domestic long distance, texts and web access on my mobile phone.
I don't even bother with a land line since I have unlimited minutes anyhow.
