26. Roasted coffee in San Francisco
Back when the big houses roasted the beans in the city, say late sixties. Today, there are small roasting houses like Graffeo, but their fantastic aroma just doesn't permeate the whole business/embarcadero district like the big houses did.

There are gardens EVERYWHERE in Berlin, I've childhood memories of the very air smelling like a wonderful perfume on many a summer's night!

and

That acrid clean smell just after a lightning filled gully-washer passes by!

and

COFFEE??! being prepared nearby in the early morning chill while I'm still in my sleeping bag shortly followed by the smell of BACON!!!! which magically gets me out of that warm sleeping bag.

the vinal covering my grandmother used on her sofa!
